International Military - Another Russian general died in the war in the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine. The slain general was named Roman Kutuzov.

Quoted from Reuters on Monday (6/6/2022), Russian state television journalist, Alexander Sladkov, on Sunday reported that Major General Roman Kutuzov was killed in Donbas.

Sladkov gave no further details and the Russian military has yet to provide an official statement to confirm the report. It is not clear where exactly the general was killed.

Reports of General Kutuzov's death come as Russia shifts the focus of its war to the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine. Moscow has not updated its official loss count since March 25, when it acknowledged that 1,351 Russian troops had died since the start of the war.
