Russia Prepares T-90 and T-72 in Large Numbers

Moscow - Russia is preparing to repel a Ukrainian counterattack whenever it starts. This can be seen from the visit of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu on May 5 to the Special Military Operations zone. Shoigu visited the Southern Military District, which is currently part of the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.

Quoted from Bulgarian Military, the purpose of this visit was to check the readiness and feasibility of military equipment to be sent to units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the Ukrainian war zone. The Shoigu also inspected bases for storage and repair of weapons and military equipment withdrawn from the battle area.

In the video footage released by the Russian Defense Ministry, the T-90M and T-72B3 main battle tanks (MBT) can be seen in large numbers. The video also shows the presence of a modernized T-62M tank, along with dozens of Motovoz-M Military Cargo Trucks.

The readiness of the Russian Armed Forces is a response to a statement by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine which stated that they would carry out a counterattack to seize their territory occupied by Russia.
