Raytheon Receives $650 Million Contract To Build Jammer On EA-18G Growler Fighter

International Military - Raytheon Technologies has been awarded a $650 million contract from the US Naval Air Systems Command for the construction of the Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) Mid-Band (MB) Lot III. This new jammer device will be used on the EA-18G Growler aircraft.

The contract covers the production of 15 sets of NGJ-MB (11 sets for the US Navy and four for the Australian Government), related spare parts, support equipment and other related equipment.

The NGJ-MB program is a joint effort between the US Navy and Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) with funding and program management assistance from Australia.

Raytheon started production of the NGJ-MB LRIP Lot 1 system in 2021. Work on the NGJ-MB LRIP Lot III contract will be carried out at various locations and is expected to be completed in April 2024.
