Moscow - The first upgraded Ka-52M attack and reconnaissance helicopters will be delivered to the Russian army and supplies will continue this year. This was disclosed by a source in the defense industry to the Russian news agency TASS.

“The first Ka-52M helicopters have been handed over to the Russian troops. Deliveries of the upgraded helicopters will also resume in 2023. About ten helicopters are being supplied to the Russian army's aviation," he added as quoted by TASS, Wednesday (4/1/2023).

The source added that the Arsenyevsky aviation factory is fully engaged in the production of such helicopters. But TASS has no official confirmation of this information. Meanwhile, Russia's state-owned defense company Rostec on its Telegram channel said mass production of electronic warfare systems and new unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) will start in the next few months.

"Within 1-2 months it is planned to complete state tests and move on to mass production of a new generation of aviation and ground electronic warfare and combat UAVs," Rostec said in a statement. The statement also said that Rostec increased the speed and volume of weapons, special equipment and military production. "We are talking about attack and transport helicopters, new and modern combat aircraft, front-line bombers, strategic missile carriers, transport and combat trainer aircraft," the statement said.

It further said that Rostec and its company transferred to the Russian military a number of small arms and ammunition, unmanned aerial vehicles for various purposes, portable anti-aircraft missiles and anti-tank systems. "Rostec also manufactures ground, air and sea-based electronic warfare equipment, state identification equipment, special purpose measuring equipment, and more," the statement added.
