Moscow - The Russian Air Force attacked a rocket factory in eastern Ukraine and destroyed a mercenary base. The Russian Ministry of Defense (Kemhan) revealed this in its daily briefing on Friday (11/4/2022).

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, a missile engine factory in Pavlograd was attacked, along with a three-storey shop at the Kommunar factory in Kharkov that makes ammunition for multiple rocket launchers. "Russian planes and ground troops also attacked five command centers and carried out a missile attack on the headquarters of one of the foreign mercenary units near the southern city of Nikolaev," the ministry said.

The Ministry of Defense added that nine rockets fired from the US-made M142 HIMARS launcher and three rockets fired from the BM-27 Uragan system were destroyed in the air in Russia's Kherson Region.

Moscow stepped up attacks in Kiev and elsewhere in Ukraine last month, hitting thermal power plants and power lines, among other targets. Russian President Vladimir Putin said the intensification of attacks was retaliation for Kiev's "terrorist attacks" on Russian soil, including a truck bomb that damaged a strategic bridge linking the Crimean Peninsula with mainland Russia.
