Airbus Helicopters Unveils VSR700 Unmanned Aerial System at Euronaval 2022

Paris - Airbus Helicopters at the Euronaval 2022 exhibition in Paris, France which is currently underway, demonstrated an unmanned aerial system (UAS) named VSR700. This rotary wing type drone is designed to operate alongside other ships' naval assets.

The VSR700 will autonomously supply users with a bigger and clearer tactical picture in terms of search and rescue. Its compact size and discreet silhouette enhance the aircraft's stealth capabilities.

The VSR700 accommodates a number of long-range, high-performance sensors that are an optimal upgrade for modern navies, the company said. This unmanned aerial system offers the best endurance of any vertical take-off/landing unmanned aerial vehicle (VUAV) in its current class.

Its performance allows it to carry the full tactical load of its high-capacity primary sensors. The VSR700 can equip frigates and destroyers operated by the navy.
