International Military - The US Navy will test the Ceros (Celsius tech Radar and Optronic Site) 200 modern weapons precision fire control system radar made by Saab, Sweden.

More than 200 Ceros 200 systems have been produced for operation worldwide. In the US this system will be used for system characterization and demonstration of capabilities against current and emerging threats.

Ceros 200 provides 3D tracking. The fire control and radar tracking systems will be operated on platforms belonging to the US Navy and Coast Guard.

When linked to a modern missile or weapon system, the Ceros 200 will provide defense against any modern threat including advanced sea skimming missiles or asymmetric surface threats in coastal environments.

The company says the Ceros 200 has been successfully operated in all conditions, from polar to tropical, and can be combined with the 9LV Combat Management System (CMS) or Fire Control System (FCS) to provide precision control for naval weapons or surface-to-air missile systems.

The Ceros 200 is available in a Continuous Wave Illuminator (CWI) configuration which provides an additional X-band channel for target illumination and semi-active missile control.
