Changchun - In conjunction with the Open Day of the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF), an air show was held in Changchun, Jilin Province, Northeast China on Friday (26/8). The J-20 Mighty Dragon fighter jet, J-16, and other fighter aircraft as well as the Y-20 transport plane, and the YU-20 tanker aircraft participated and were in the spotlight.

Likewise, the PLAAF aerobatic team, August 1 or Ba Yi Aerobatic Team with J-10 fighter jets, also enlivened the event through a spectacular air show. Global Times reports, from a series of air shows, the J-20 brought this event to a climax.

The Chengdu factory-built stealth fighter features a number of challenging moves, including fast pull-ups, fast turns, and consecutive horizontal and vertical maneuvers. The J-20's flight performance demonstrates the aircraft's outstanding horizontal and vertical maneuverability.

Moves like steep turns and sudden turns after pull-ups and dives as a form of maneuver in close air combat. The J-20's maneuverability was able to show the plane quickly taking a position to attack, said Wang Mingzhi, a Chinese military expert.

Li Debing, the pilot who flew the J-20 at the event, told a press conference the following day that the J-20's flight performance was not only beautiful to watch but also highly combat-oriented.

This reflects the aircraft's capabilities and technical performance. The capability of the aircraft poses a huge challenge to the pilot's stamina and mentality, as well as the skills to pilot a large aircraft, he said.

Another stunning show was put on by the J-10 fighter jet from the Ba Yi Aerobatic Team. The PLAAF's aerobatic team is experienced and performs at major events.

Then the flight of the large Y-20 transport aircraft which also wowed the audience with movements such as low-altitude flights and steep turns, showing the aircraft's agility despite its large body.

The PLAAF flight show at the Changchun Air Show, is more than just a show. Because, they show the capabilities of fighter aircraft and transport aircraft owned, analysts say.

Having participated in several non-war military operations and long-distance delivery missions, for example, the flight performance of the Y-20 transport aircraft has demonstrated its excellent agility, flexibility and ability to perform airborne and air landed missions.
