Bombardier and General Dynamics Mission Systems Introduce New Multimission And Anti-Submarine Aircraft

International Military - Bombardier Defense and General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada collaborate to deliver the next-generation Multimission and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Aircraft. The aircraft was designed according to the requirements set by the Government of Canada in the Canadian Multi-Mission Aircraft (CMMA) project.

The two companies agreed to use the highly efficient and agile Bombardier Global 6500 aircraft base as the platform for CMMA. Global 6500 can fly far, fly high, fuel efficient, and has proven reliability.

General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada is supporting the Government of Canada (GoC) on many projects including delivering the CP140 Aurora Incremental Modernization Project (AIMP) based on the P-3 Orion aircraft.

This modernization, together with the earlier Aurora Structural Life Extension Project (ASLEP), will keep the CP140 ahead of ASW capabilities and extend the operational life of the CP140 Aurora well into the 2030s.
