International Military - Lockheed Martin has been awarded a $225 Million contract in the Lightning Air System National Capability Enterprise (LANCE) 23-27 program to support the UK's F-35 fleet. This fighter support contract aims to increase the availability and capability of the UK's F-35B fleet to perform combat missions around the world.

Under the LANCE 23-27 contract, BAE Systems will act as the primary subcontractor to Lockheed Martin. The company will supply various needs for support to the Royal Air Force (RAF) Marham and at other RAF F-35 deployment sites.

The combined industry team will provide support such as flight, ground and mission planning training, technical and operational support, IT support, experience and supply chain management, and maintenance capabilities.

The resources provided by the industry team will not only expand maintenance capacity but will secure over 140 jobs across the UK, especially at RAF Marham.

Lockheed Martin acts as prime contractor and works directly with the F-35 Joint Program Office. In addition to contract management, Lockheed Martin provides an interface to the Global Supply Solution (GSS) that supports the global F-35 fleet. The LANCE 23-27 contract continues pre-existing maintenance services at RAF Marham and expands its scope.
