On 26 May 2022, Baszczak announced the signing of a Letter of Request (LOR) with the United States for the acquisition of 500 M142 HIMARS. The M142 HIMARS provides responsive, highly accurate and highly lethal rocket fire and surface-to-surface missiles from a range of 15 to 300 km.
