Ukraine Is Developing Sokil-300 Attack Drone

Kiev - The Luch Design Bureau from Ukraine is developing a new attack reconnaissance drone called the Sokil-300. This drone can use several types of engines, both domestic AI-450T2 and foreign-made MS-500V-05S/SE and Rotax 914.

The flying height of this drone is expected to reach an altitude of 10,000-12,000 m with a flight operating range of up to 1,000-3,300 km depending on the choice of engine used. The drone is controlled by an inertial unit with a laser gyroscope developed by Arsenal Special Instrument Making Enterprise. The Sokil-300 can be equipped with radio equipment, a small airborne radar station and a synthetic aperture radar.

Quoted from Building Tech, its synthetic aperture radar can scan land at an altitude of 5,000 m with an accuracy of 30×30 cm. The complex is controlled from a mobile control center that is integrated with the Neptune MC's RK-360 missile system control center and is housed on a truck chassis.

As an attack drone, the weapons that can be carried by the Sokil-300 include air-to-surface missiles of the RK-2P, R2-M and RK-10 types with a range of up to 10 km.

This is the capability of the Sokil-300 attack drone

Maximum speed:

AI-450T2: 580 km/h,

MS-500V-05S/SE: 466 km/h,

Rotax 914: 210 km/h.

Flight time:

AI-450T2: 5 hours,

MS-500V-05S/SE: 3 hours,

Rotax 914: 26 hours.

Flight range:
