Russian Drone Geran-2 Becomes a New Threat to Ukrainian Army

International Military - The Russian Geran-2 armed drone (UCAV) stationed near Kupyansk poses a new serious threat to the Ukrainian army and its armored vehicles. Forbes writes, these kamikaze drones can hit various military targets and critical infrastructure.

The publication notes that there are similarities between the Geran-2 drone and the Iranian-made Shahed-136 delta wing UCAV. This drone performed well during the attack on the oil refinery in Abqaiq some time ago, earning the Shahed-136 the nickname “The Aramco Killer”.

In addition, Iran demonstrated the launch of a group of Shahed-136 drones during the “Great Prophet” exercise. The launcher using the truck ride quickly launched five kamikaze drones.

This new Iranian-made roaming munition cannot be underestimated because it poses a new potential threat to Ukrainian troops.
